 But no matter what flag you use it won’t express anything wrapped around a pole. imagiTONE offers an accessory for the Banner Chimes musical flagpole that works like no other so-called “anti-wrap” device for keeping your Banner, your message, in plain view.

Basically, there can be only two approaches to dealing with the anti-wrap problem for flags and banners used on horizontally hung flagpoles. The first approach is the way that all the current devices use. That approach attempts to encourage flags to rotate around the pole, even though they will be upside- down, or “crumpled” while doing so. Some of these devices work better than others. Some are designed to only work properly when a flagpole is held at a 45 degree or steeper angle, and others can fail if an updraft suddenly stops, draping an upside-down flying banner onto the pole.

The Banner Chimes musical flagpole takes the approach that flags and banners have a natural tendency and intentional design to fly below the flagpole, and therefore should be encouraged to stay in that general position without too much loss of freedom of movement. After all, flags are not pinwheels with multiple wind catching surfaces to keep them spinning around. Nor are flags meant to display upside- down artwork or messages.

The Banner Chimes’ sleeves stop turning when the flag and clips are in a horizontal position, thereby keeping the flag from rotating upside down above the flagpole. At the same time the motion of the pole is restricted from moving in its bracket as the flag waves freely below the flagpole.

To really get the full benefit of this anti-wrap approach, the clear Flexi-Clip extensions should be used with your Banner Chimes musical flagpole. The Flexi-Clips connect further down the sides of the flag than just the metal clips that come with your Banner Chimes musical flagpole. These Flexi-Clips  stop more flag material from moving at the point that the sleeves stop rotating. Because the Flexi-Clips  are clear and flexible they keep the artwork of the flag visible, and keep the movement of the flag waving fluidly and naturally.
